Clan Keith Badges

Plant Badge - The White Rose

acobite Troops had no formal uniform. The white cockade on a blue bonnet became their emblem. It is said to have originated when Bonnie Prince Charlie (Charles Edward Stuart) picked a wild rose and pinned it to his hat. As the Keith were supporters of the Royal House perhaps this is the origin of the clan's plant badge.

Clansman Badge

Sinister, out of a Crest Coronet Or, a roebuck's head Proper, attired with tynes Or;

encircled by a strap and buckle emblazoned with the clan motto: Veritas Vincit.

 The coat of arms of all clan chiefs is their personal property alone. Clan badges are granted by the chief to his clansmen in recognition of their affiliation and loyalty and are differentiated from the chief's crest by having a belt emblazoned with the clan motto encircling that crest!
